I offer insurance as 'optional'. When a buyer purchases one item, it is always there as 'optional'. However over the past few months, whenever I combine multiple items won by a buyer in post-sale the insurance option completely disappears. The shipping options remain as they should, but no insurance option. Whats up with that?
Just to make sure: this happens when you (the seller) combines multiple items in the Post Sale pages? If so, you can edit/reset any information while creating the order. You should be able to edit the insurance cost and make it optional, even if the fields are pre-filled with no insurance.
Please let us know if this is indeed the problem, and if the above procedure works for you.

To confirm- yes, this is happening when 'I' am combining multiple items for a buyer in post-sale.
So you are saying that after I combine this order, I have to 'go back', uncheck #1 on post-sale and then go in and edit the post-sale insurance option? .....
"You should be able to edit/reset any information while creating the order"...
well, when I created the aution as well as the order the insurance option was there. Once combined it disappears, now you are saying that I have to go in and edit it to put it back?? This is not going to happen. I do not pay Vendio so that I can manually edit and do a 'work around' for a tech problem.
*Thanks Susan, I felt pretty sure I was not the only one with this problem. Paula

I did just go try what you said: I unchecked #1 in post-sale, then clicked on 'edit WBN'...when I looked at it, 'insurance' IS there and is an option...so nothing to change. I went back to the post-sale view, re-checked #1, then clicked on 'edit' for #2 and the insurance option IS NOT there.
Maybe what Susan said is the only way to force it in- to make it 'required'. But alas as mentioned, I am not going to add multiple steps to each order. This needs a permanent fix by Vendio. It was never a problem before a few months ago.

When you combine your items, if you are using the individual items original shipping costs/etc Vs specifying new costs to be used for the order - your buyer will still be able to add insurance to their purchase during the checkout process.
When you click to manually revise step 2 it isn't showing you this option, but if you 'go to buyer checkout' and run through the checkout process itself, as the buyer would, you will see how insurance is still available to select.
