I am SICK TO DEATH of Vendio NOT POSTING BULLETINS when something happens with their system. I have a lot of angry buyers on my hands now (please see the Vendio "Support" correspondence below), and am going to have to WASTE A TON OF MONEY giving these buyers free merchandise to try to make them happy now that their shipments have been delayed for 8 days now due to a problem that VENDIO KNEW ABOUT AND DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL ANYONE ABOUT (they even responded to a forum post re: this issue back on the 27th, but didn't bother to post an alert!! See for yourself: http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=15&thread=97730). NOT ALL OF US ARE ABLE TO READ THE VENDIO FORUMS DAILY. THESE ISSUES NEED TO BE POSTED AS A BULLETIN ON THE MAIN PAGE.

If Vendio had posted an alert regarding the potential problems caused by the crash mentioned below (Vendio says they've heard from 4 other users who experienced this problem, and those were only the users who've NOTICED these issues--I'm sure this is a far more widespread problem), I could have checked on things several days ago, and this whole HUGE waste of time could have been avoided. Situations similar to this have arisen SEVERAL times now, and EACH time Vendio has responded with, "Oh yeah, we knew..." but they NEVER posted bulletins! Each time this has happened, I've BEGGED Vendio to PLEASE let us know...but they still cannot be trusted to take a second to log a bulletin for us.

I'm not sure if they're scared that people will send in nasty e-mails because they are upset that there is a potential problem, or what, but Vendio users are SURE to send nastier e-mails once they find out that Vendio knew about the problem all along, but didn't tell them.

As a loyal Vendio user, it is awful and incredibly frustrating to realize that you've wasted a TON of your own time trying to resolve issues with the Vendio system on your own, assuming that it is just an isolated problem with your own account, only to find that all the while Vendio was sitting back, having had full knowledge about the issue the whole time. Not to mention that, due to the delay in the realization of the problem, now you have a bunch of angry buyers to deal with.

I love Vendio and its support staff is typically incredible, but I really need to be able to trust Vendio to let me know when there is a problem. Anyone else agree with me on this? PLEASE LET VENDIO KNOW! They're not listening to me.

Amanda

**Original question sent to Vendio:

Hello,

Was there a problem with your "eBay Checkout
Re-direct," Vendio
checkout, or Post-Sale on 2/25 and 2/26?
I've just discovered that I've
got about 6 buyers who completed my
checkout, but their PayPal payments
that they completed on 2/25 and 2/26 (most
are on 2/26) weren't
recognized. Was this a glitch in Post-Sale
where payments were not being
recognized, or did they go directly to
PayPal to pay because they were
unable to complete payment through the link
provided during Vendio's
checkout?

I'd like to get to the bottom of this, since
this has got me in some big
trouble now, since I'm just now discovering
their payments, which were
made over 8 days ago now. Unfortunately,
these buyers are not going to
be happy.

Thank you so much for looking into this,
Amanda

**Vendio's Response to my question:

Hello,

The IPN table did end up crashing on the
28th, and in doing so, chances
are there were some items that didn't get
recorded properly in the week
leading up to the 28th. (We did hear from 3
or 4 other users with items
not marked as paid in that timeframe
unfortunately.)

Best regards,

Chris

Hello Amanda,

I am sorry for the frustration. Normally, known issues that have a large impact are announced on our announcements board. Some issues that have a smaller impact (or an unknown impact) and are quickly resolved may not get announced on the main site (mainly to avoid confusion for customers who may be experiencing similar symptoms from an unrelated problem). These types of issues are usually handled via email. I'm not saying this is the case here - it does seem like this is something that should have been announced and it appears that there was a miscommunication somewhere.

Anyway, my apologies for not being more pro-active about announcing this issue. We will look at ways to do a better job of this in the future.

Best regards,

Diana

bellacollection,

you will have to check both the vendio and paypal checkout. You can't trust this system completely anymore.

Things happen here and I sense that they mention it when they get enough responses to cover the questions on the issues.

I close 400 to 600 items a month and it is a royal pain the ... essp since we are paying for a checkout system.

I have given up on complaining as they really don't care.

I read these boards every day before i start and continually as it will be the only Way you can tell if something is wrong.

As far as alerts at the top of the main page well just check the ones there now, they have been there for a week, and are they the most important new of this week, well no.

At least the pictures seem to work nearly all of the time. the rest well ya got to roll the dice with Vendio.

Hi, This is been going on for very long time that the vendio system does not see some paypal payments , We sell few hundred items every month and what I do is I have all my paypal payments received e mails go into separate mail box and I double check theme all with the items to ship or waiting for payment and I if I find an item that I did get paid for and not marked as paid I Mark it manually myself .
This is been going on since the holidays.
