Eight months ago ebay removed me unjustly from their site. Ebay is a monopoly that must be stopped. Please let me know if you have experienced a similar experience with them.

Ben

Hi Ben--can't say that this has happened to me. Why were you removed unjustly? Remember--there is more to online than eBay.

jean: I it is a long story, basically I was accused of fraud via email in an account I had just closed and I was suspended for "fraud", now 23 emails to safeharbor later and they still refuse to tell me who I committed fraud against. 6 phone calls also. Does anyone know their (800) number? I had this once but it has eluded me.

Imagine the wife being asleep all is quite, I've got the modem speaker turned off, sounds turned off, and I log on with the screen dimmed. All of the sudden I read:
What's a "todie?"
and I burst out laughing. Wife wakes up, shes wanting ice-cream, and it's raining. Thanks a lot spazmodeus.

And you're sitting there typing? Shut off the computer, go get the ice cream and eat it in bed with her while you listen to the rain. Life's too short.

Hagen Das Swiss Vanilla with chocolate covered almonds.
As with most things it is better if you let it temper a bit.
I think I'll wake Himself up and ask for a root beer float. No rain, just the cacida singing.
BTW What is a toadie in this context?

My guess is a todie is someone who screwed up a bunch of auctions and is too clueless to figure out why he got thrown off the site.

hmmmm an entire site devoted to what is wrong with Ebay. Get over it and move on. It's been 8 months. Life is to short.. List on Yahoo, Amazon or one of the other sites listed on your own web site.
Holding a grudge will wreck your health and make you not so fun to be around.

Aw, let Tim have his site. He's helping 4,500 people a week learn a new word, although I bet some of them are already familiar with "sucks." Why, just today I learned here at AW that you can exchange the "ck" in such words for a "g," and it must be real because you can get monerated for it. I don't think www.ebay.sugs.com would get quite the traffic, though.
Holy cow, I just checked. That name's been registered. LOL!

This is directed towards Dave: Alright smart guy, what did I do to get terminated from ebay? You seem to have all the answers. How about you shutup if you don't know what your talking about. That way you don't insert your foot in your mouth and everyone is happy, albeit that would look kind of funny! lol

Ben

Out of the frying pan into the fire Ben. Will you call your next site AWsucks? Or could you just say awisovertheline.com? That way you'll be sure that nobody knows what you're blathering about on either of your sites.

Sounds like that in this free country you are a slave to your anger at ebay.
Walk away, and let all of that blow through your hair like the wind.
That is, if you have hair.

todie,
Just one question. Doesn't it worry you just a bit that Ebay might take offense at the use of EBAYSUCKS.COM and bring civil action against you? It could get expensive..

KRS: So you would basically consider yourself a pacifist huh? No I'm sorry I was treated unjustly, I'm not going to just walk away. Maybe that is the answer to all our political problems...lol...just let it go...I won't stop till my account is reinstated at ebay, thats all I ask, they have already cost me about $50,000 in lost sales...

A pacifist may take a stand against war. I'm a realist, and take stands against banging heads on walls in useless rages. They will not let the you that they know be reinstated.

Fiesty: As I stated in an earlier post, this is America, I'm not worried about being ill treated for using my freedom of speech. If anyone is to be worried it should be ebay, they are the one's who have a lot of exlaining to do, for example, the U.S. government is all worried about Bill Gates, but eBay is always having downtimes, have they reimbursed a penny for the millions of dollars they stole during their lack of service they agreed to provide during their constant downtimes??? No I'm not afraid, I would love to be in court with ebay, I hope it happens someday !

feistyone, glad you brought up that question and point.
Let us look at Legal History, and the ISP AOL and the website aolsucks.org.
Basiclly, the webmaster of aolsucks.org got into a legal tiff with AOL after he was dissastisfied with their service. He made this anti-AOL site, and AOL claimed he used their copyrighted Logos and images wrong.
After consulting a lawyer, he presented AOL with a letter for possable lawsuit grounds of Harassment. His actions were right, and subsequently, AOL backed down and banned his site, and other anti-AOL sites from being accessed from their servers.
In this case, if eBay were to persue this matter, same effect. eBay is wrong, this person can use the "eBay" name in the domain name unless he opened up an Auction site and named it "eBay."
Now you know...
