It may "bite" after you are used to "free" but the 1.9% appears to be cheaper than the BillPoint rates which many of my international customers use.

BTW, international payments are in the "coming" soon category. That could mean next week or next millenium. I'm not planning on signing up until I see it in action.

I suppose the rates are OK, but I don't view Pyapal as a credit card acceptor but a system of ecash....and ecash should be liquid on a one to one basis. Especially since international buyers are a small percentage, I will not upgrade so I can pay fees on US sales.

The nice thing about the business account on Paypal is that the customer can make the payment without completing the account setup--they can go in and enter their name, address and card # and an account is established, but they don't have to go through all the hassle.

I used a separate business account (instead of my main account, which is still the old-style personal acct) to collect a fixed sum from 150+ buyers of a book I'm importing from England. It was incredibly fast and easy and was worth the 1.9% I paid to avoid having to answer 20 questions.
