I personally find "personal shopper" a service that really misses the mark.
WHY do they have to bother you with e-mail updates every 3 days at the furthest apart!!?? It's so annoying to get all of that junk mail when you really only need the service for items that come up rarely (so you don't miss them). Now THAT would be a REAL service.
If an item is so common that it might come up every day or 2 or 3, then why do you need PS? ANSWER: You wouldn't.
It seems that it would be far more valuable as a long range service ONLY notifying you when it finds the item.
PLUS, they should allow more than 3 searches. I normally search several different title combinations, but PS only allows 3, so I have to do the other combos myself anyway. Why bother having PS do any since I have top sit down to do it for the remaining combos.

Personally, I like the service. I have three searches in for items that I bid on quite a bit and like to be able to look at the list that they provide on what's new. It has saved me a couple of times with 3 day auctions. If I hadn't seen it there, I may not have checked with a search before the item closed.
I get them on a daily basis and make it a quick scan. Also, like that you can go directly to the auction from the link, instead of having to do a search and match up the auction titles.

That's fine, but WHY can't they offer a simple alternative to what already exists.
WHY do you have to constantly be notified that the item HAS NOT come up?
It's a waste of my time to continually get that message. If you like constant updates, FINE. How about an option where you're ONLY notified when the thing comes up.

I use personal shopper for some rare items I'm looking for. I think its a great idea if they only sent it to you if they found it.
However, sometimes PS isn't working, so in that case, I wouldn't know if nothing came up or if it wasn't working.....but I guess I don't know that now.

I use the personal shopper and love it. I would like to have more than the three searches though as I have many items I search for on a continual basis.
It's been a while since I have emailed ebay with a suggestion that I've forgotten which email address to use to send suggestions to them.
It's either [email protected] , [email protected] OR [email protected] Maybe someone here will share which is the (current) correct address. Then you can let them know how you feel and what features you'd like to have.
