Not my week...

I have an E-check payment coming up as "failed" and "did not clear." Yep, I already shipped the item...

Does anyone know if Billpoint re-deposits NSF checks?

Julesy: You are not supposed to ship the item until Billpooint sends you an email stating that the funds are available to transfer to your account.

I advise you to go over to the RemarQ threaded messageboards at eBay, and pose your query in the Billpoint/Payment messageboard.

There are several Billpoint employees who answer questions there, and also quickly resolve problems.

I myself do NOT know if you can reissue a NEW electronic check for this transaction, nor do I know if they ever attemp re-submitting the first e-check.

I know I shouldn't have shipped, but I never hold checks...unless I get really bad vibes from the buyer. Yes, call me naive...

I heard from the buyer and she said she received an email from Billpoint about their server being down, so maybe that is why the payment failed. She said she would do the transaction again. I find all of this odd.

Julesy....From what I understand once you are notified by Billpoint that it is Okay to ship your payment is Guaranteed by them. I read this on Ebay's seller introduction to Billpoint's online payments. It says no bounced checks. I've never had a payment by e-check but I do offer it. I would contact Billpoint. Let us know what happens.
