I know we discussed this last week. I just got another check from PayPal for $12, to go with the one for 8 bucks I received early this month. No, it isn't a closeout of an x.com bank account, as I never had one. And I still can't see from my account page what this could be for. Very odd....

I just got one also. Mine was for $5.84. I have not requested a check and it does not show up on my transaction list.
I am going to email them with all the information on the check and see what they want me to do with it.

Maybe they are sending year-end bonus checks to make up for all the headaches they caused.
(Suggesting random acts of kindness from the likes of PayPal is why I'm considered a hopeless optimist.)

got 2 myself, one yesterday for 12 bucks and one awhile back, a month to 2months at most, for 10 bucks........

I got the account closing check from x.com/payal last week for the amount in my x.com account, minus the $12.00 fee for not meeting the min balance of $100.00.
Yesterday I got a check from x.com/paypal for $12.00.
Could be they violated some banking regulation, or were dodging a lawsuit.

Well I don't feel left out anymore. I just received a check for an even $60.00 - no explanation. I did have an X.com account, but in the end I owed them due to a couple of items coming through after the account was closed.
I'm not complaining... just curious!

I too have received 2 checks from PP, one on 12/11/00 for $15.00 and one just the other day for $12.00. I did have a x.com account but the money that was in it was transfered to my PP account. At first I thought it was for, maybe others signing up via my link, but the check for $12.00 shoots that theory down, hrmmm, I dunno???

The $12 checks from x.com Paypal could be a refund from there $12 service charge they had on accounts under $100 for the last month they charged to you since they would have charged your account the last week of november and shut down the frist week in december you didnt owe the service charge for that month.
the $5 and $8 checks could be partail refund of service charges for accounts that only fell below $100 for week or so before they charged.
Just a thought.
