I have a reference book that discusses a product made by several manufacturers. I want to be specific about what the book contains but I am afraid of being accused of keyword spamming. Is it ok to list the manufacturers in my auction description?
Another question, what would be the best category. The book is about teddy bears and most of the manufacturers have their own category under bears. I'm not sure it would be seen under "general"

Hi, symar - Do the names of these various manufacturing companies appear in the book? If so, you should be able to use them without a problem. If they are not in there, then someone COULD accuse you of keyword spamming.
I don't know about the categories - maybe someone else will come along who is familar with those.

Hi symar,
It might be worthwhile listing in 2 categories. One in the book section for reference books and a second entry in toys under the teddy section.
The little extra cost of listing will get you much more exposure.

I had a book to sell which had 1 to 2 page biographies of about 100 people. I was going to scan the contents pages so that people could see the list of people, but then I realized that if it was a scan (or photo) it wouldn't show up in a search.
So I typed out all the names.
If you think people will search by manufacturer then, put it in the description. IMO, its not keyword spamming if its in the book. If you don't care if they can search for it, then take a picture
