There has been some discussion on the threads here about Half.com search turning up in auction listings.
I emailes support on this and I thought you might like to see the reply kind of interesting.
I am sorry to learn that you do not like our promotion of Half.com in
our search pages on eBay.
I can understand your frustration in that we are leading people to look
for books, movies, and music on Half.com as well as eBay. However, we
do not see this as dishonest nor as an abuse of the eBay system. It is
merely a way of helping users sell their items as well as buy the items
that they are looking for, whether it be on eBay of Half.com.
Additionally, many find that they prefer one format over the other, and
Half.com offers another type of venue where eBayers can trade.
I think you should also know that we do the same thing on Half.com. In
other words, if someone performs a search on Half.com, they will get a
link at the bottom of the page that will allow them to search for the
same thing on eBay.
Lastly, I wanted you to know that your message was forwarded to our
contacts on the Product Development Team sot that they will know of your
displeasure concerning this promotion. We truly do value your input and
feedback very highly, so please feel free to send us any other
suggestions or ideas that you have.

It's about like if ebay were hosted on another web site and suddenly Amazon.com banners started appearing.Wonder how they'd feel.
