I went to the USPS site to print off the new rates, well, true to form, it's 35 pages long! I'm trying to figure out what pages to print. I can find Priority Mail and Insurance with no problem. All I want to know is Bookrate (they have Library Mail, Bound Printed, and Media???), regular letter prices for the different rates, and prices to mail a package not priority, but standard. It's stored as a PDF for Acrobat Reader, so you can just print off the pages you want which is nice, if I could just figure out the pages I want out of 35!

Thanks, that tells me about bookrate, now all I need is mail a regular letter and mail a regular package. I keep repeating to myself that I am an intelligent person!

All My packages are 2oz or less (.77-.55-.44 cents) So I asked at my PO cuz I couldn't find it either. Clerk told me they didn't know yet (this was on 12/27) Maybe she didn't want to read 35 pages

For those small packages (up to 13 ounces), use the Single-Piece Letter Rates, even though they technically aren't letters. If anything is over-sized or bulky and up to one ounce, it is 44 cents.

The truly scary thing is the postal clerks haven't been supplied with the information. I was dumping my usual 20 packages a day on them and the clerk asked if I had something with the new rates on it.
I told her I don't have any official rate sheet or anthing like that. She said she would take anything as they haven't been supplied with any information regarding the rate changes. I told her I'd bring in the information today.

The new rates will be in effect on January 7, as far as I know....Hope I was not mis-informed
Oh! and I cheated... I saved a post from here, and bring it back up when needed...So, thank you, whoever first posted this info a few weeks back

Shoshana Thanks!
I printed off the letter rates that helps a lot. Now the only thing I'm not sure about is packages that are not priority. I've used priority almost exclusively in the past, and I was trying to save buyers some money because of the high increase in priority. So, I'm trying to figure out, for example, what is the rate for a 6 lb box, not priority. I know it takes effect Jan 7th, but for auctions entered now, payment won't be received until after that.
