I have to get this off my chest because right now I'm really ticked at Safe Harbor. I had a bidder use the buy it now feature within 1 day of my listing. My terms clearly state payment is due within 14 days after auction ends. With his bid and book rate shipping, he owed me less than $8 and responded immediately to my e-mail. Actually, he wrote me first from a different e-mail address than the one he used to bid on my auction and I wrote him back asking him to verify he was this other e-mail address as well which he did and which I saved. Needless to say he assured me payment would be sent immediately. Day 10 I send out an e-mail asking for an update on status of payment and he apologized and said an unexpected bill came up (possibly the $150 item he won on Ebay and paid for)and that he would send it out right away. A week later...still no payment so I filed the NPB and also e-mailed him. While all this time was passing, just for the heck of it, I decided to see if this e-mail address he was using to correspond to me with was registered and lo and behold...his feedback thru that one states 7 positives, 2 negs. The e-mail he used for my auction had a zero rating and then a 1 from the $150 item he won and paid for. I e-mailed him telling him I was filing an NPB alert which gave him 10 more days and I haven't heard squat since and have filed for FVF credit. I also e-mailed Safe Harbor telling them that this guy had multiple e-mail addresses and has a clear habit of stiffing sellers. This is what Safe Harbor wrote me back...and I quote:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with this information. I
understand how this situation could be of some concern.
I have reviewed the information that you have sent in regarding this
member, and at this point find that we do not have enough evidence to
show that the member has violated any eBay rules.
Although you are correct in regards to this member having multiple
accounts, this is not against eBay rules."
Needless to say I did leave him a neg which put him back to zero feedback and now today see that he stiffed another seller and is now at -1 for that e-mail address. I wrote Ebay back stating the e-mail address he used to bid on my auction should at least be suspended since he clearly stated in the e-mail I forwarded to them WITH FULL HEADERS that it was no longer a valid e-mail stating they had gone out of business. I have yet to get a reply to my response to their response. I feel their original reply to my complain was very lame. What's your view?

Get used to it. We as sellers have no rights, and only exist to fund their salaries.
You can bet though the response from support is different if you're a competitor or VERO member... they'll shut down your seller account faster than you can say safeharbor.
(Sorry for my negativity, but after 20%+ deadbeats the last month or so and no help from eBay and the constantl nickel and diming of them, not to mention of PayPal/XPath (and their problems), I'm not too happy being a "casual" seller on eBay. I can only imagine what it's like to be a full time seller these days.
