What is a reasonable timeframe to wait for payment, or at least a reply to a winning bid notification? It seems in the past month (at least from what I've noticed), there has been an increasing number of bidders who either don't respond in a reasonable time frame (two or three days) or don't respond at all! Is it unreasonable to expect some type of response in three days? a week??

How long do I wait before filing a non-paying bidder notification with e-Bay? Is it unacceptable to leave a negative feedback for non-paying bidders? I've read some posts where it is suggested that, as a seller, it is my responsiblity to contact the non-responsive, or non-paying bidder by phone...

If, as a seller, we fail to contact the winning bidder within a reasonable time frame, do we honestly think they are going wait idly by for days and weeks until we contact them???

Did we not, both as a buyer and a seller, enter into an agreement to preform in a certain manner... to abide by the legally binding contract that we entered into by accepting eBay's terms when we registered?? Are we above the laws of the land and free trade, that we can just ignore our responsiblities??? Isn't it time for responsible eBaying? Besides... is it anyone's responsibilty but our own?

For every non-reply of WBN, I wait 3 days, and send another. After 3 notices, I include a personal note stating that if I receive no response, I will contact the next highest bidder, and leave negitive feedback. Seems to work everytime, as in my whole ebay expierence I have only left 2 neg's.

I have just recently started putting a note in my auctions that says if the high bidder doesn't respond within 3 days of auction close they may lose their high-bid status.
I also recently waited 5 days for a response and then offered item to the 2nd highest bidder for his high bid which was $1.00 less IF he would pay ASAP by PayPal. He did. I finally heard from the high bidder after 7 days but I told her it was too late, item had been sold to #2. What peeved me so about this particular high bidder was that she wouldn't respond to my emails but was bidding away on Ebay. ( so I knew her computer was working)
