I personally dont have much experience selling on ebay, however I have tried it twice with very little success. I was told that people have made big money on ebay selling information products on CD's. If there is anybody there who is living it, please respond. Thanks.

I don't know about the cd thing, but yes there is money to be made. I sell mostly collectible items. You just have to search for the items, do your research, and run an honest business. If you can find something you really like, you will be successful selling it. My rule, if it isn't fun, it isn't worth doing! Almost a year, and it is still a hoot. I am amazed every day at what some things can sell for, and what things don't sell. Don't give up!

It is all about what you sell. I personally think that the cd auctions on ebay is not your way to make it big on ebay.

Have a product in mind that you have fun selling. I have found a product that I have been selling on ebay since March of 2000, and I now have my own website because of my ebay business.

Sell something that you are behind. Would you really be behind selling someone a cd of get rich and other info? Also, make sure you have fun while selling. If it is not fun, then don't do it.

The infomational CDs are getting feircely competitive because it's so cheap and easy for everybody to sell, and so easy to replicate a CD and not carry inventory. It's getting to the point they sell it for .99¢, and make a profit on the handling.

On ebay its you win some, and you lose some. If you can be patient and ride out cycles, and if you are willing to experiment a little, you can achieve a good living at it. Do some research first, and see what's selling before you list.

It's alright to ride an upwave of a trendy item, but don't get caught with too much inventory of it.

If you are going to sell some get rich quick item like CD-R Cd's you wont profit.
I see dozens of sellers doing this.
Besides having high number of negative FB you basically selling a worthless item that a buyer can easily buy copy and resell.
Try selling unique or one of a kind items

"I was told that people have made big money on ebay selling information products on CD's"

Let me guess ... the person who sold you a CD with rights to resell the CD said that, didn't they? Well, after the first couple thousand persons all start reselling that CD, they run out of people to sell it to.

The answer is "yes" but the process looks a lot like hard work.

Those CDs invariable contain copyrighted material and are illegal. My advice is to steer clear. The exception is a guide you write yourself. There is money to be made if you have a valuable, original product. Hard work is rewarded, but I believe the days of easy money at eBay are over.

By the way, eBay has banned sales of CD-Rs unless you have explicit permission from the copyright holder.

I made some very good money three years ago selling my own informational products. If you develop your own guide, expect to find others buying your product and reselling it themselves, with or without your permission.

Good luck!

If you're reselling information products somebody sold to you for resale, they're pretty worthless. Not only content-poor, but everybody who is interested in seeing them has seen them already. The only way anybody is making any money on those is selling another set to yet another sucker to "make big money selling information products".

On the other hand I think there is room for new, well-researched, content-rich niche market or special interest group informational products. I will shortly be doing a test of same by offering one product on Ebay, with the other products housed on a web site.

God helps those who help themselves.........
It's a very time consuming(and confusing at times)job but it has great rewards!!!
