I am curious as to how good it is to have auctions close on Sundays. Obviously yesterday wasn't a good Sunday to have an auction close due to the Superbowl but how is it for an auction to close on a normal Sunday compared to weekdays? Also what would be the best time of day for a Sunday auction to close. Thanx in advance for your advice.

I think that's an excellent question. People generally say that Sunday evening is a good time to close an auction site, as is Friday evening. If you look at esnipe.com, then click on statistics, you'll see the average length of time it takes to make a bid on ebay during the week. On Sunday evening, the conection time zooms to about 20 seconds. That would seem to indicate that a lot of people are bidding then. Good luck!

I did remarkably well for items yesterday. Had 2 BINs (relisted the item after the 1st, and it got another BIN later in the day). Got some bids during the game, but not the level of Sniping I'd liek to see.. overall, it was actually a bit better than an average Sunday for me lately.
I have been aiming to have them close either Sunday evening or Monday morning (to get the full prime time of Sunday night around the land...) and doing OK.

Why would you think yesterday would be an obviously bad day? If you take a moment and think about it, if your items are likely to be purchased by women then you probably did outstandingly well. Shove the hubby in front of the television with a 6 pack and a bowl of chips while they get to have some truly free time to themselves.

We normally don't close anything on Sundays and we don't normally have much bidding activity on sundays, but yesterday, we had a lot of bidding activity. We do sell women's clothing, so those football widows must have been bidding.
How your item does on a Sunday close really does depend on the item.
