Frankly I wouldn't use it. While I am happy when people bid in any fashion, sniping usually results in a lower maximum bid. And such a feature would discourage bidding earlier.
One last thought, if esnipe doesn't work becasue of some glitch, the bidder is likely to be mad at you and not esnipe.
