I need some feedback on non-paying bidders. I have alot of experience buying on Ebay and had maybe 5% of 400 transactions have any problems at all. I just started selling and my 5th auction was bid on by a zero feedback bidder (that signed up the day my auction ended) at the last minute. She contacted me 2 days after my 1st email and told me she didn't know how to pay and PayPal asked her for a 3digit number she didn't have. I emailed her a short outline on how to send me a money order and a link to the eBay help page. It's been 5 days and I haven't heard from her since. She didn't send her address and has not responded to my emails since. I know she might respond but I have a feeling she won't , my question is does this happen alot. How many non-paying bidders do any of you sellers get!
Any feedback on the subject is appreciated.

This is one of the pitfalls of selling. I do not have alot of nonpaying bidders. I will work with anyone as long as they keep in touch. Sometimes sending NPB response works.
I do not leave negative feedback as a rule. I find that the NPBs have stiffed other sellers and no longer registered.

Hi! Welcome to the fabulous world of selling! I have been getting a few more non-paying bidders lately, but it's not a huge problem. If I haven't received payment by 14 days, I send a gentle reminder and ask them to please email me right away. If I don't hear from them in a few days, I file for my NPB alert to start the process to get my Final Value Fee back. About sixty percent of the time, after my reminder, I receive payment- usually the bidder has just forgotten.

The more I sell, the less I worry about the small stuff. Sure, it's a pain in the neck, and I lose my listing fee (usually a quarter for me), but I still have the item and can relist fairly easily. What gets me is some of the ridiculous lies people use to get out of paying!

With your bidder, who seems really confused, I would send her a gentle reminder after 8-10 days of the auction closing asking her to reply. If she doesn't, just start the process of getting your Final Value Fee back, and re-list. Sometimes when I re-list I get a much higher price than I did in the first place anyway!
