I have made my auctions private and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to see who the bidders are and check their feedback etc...
If I push "bid history" it reads bidders identies are protected until end of auction.
Then I pushed "View page with email addresses" and I get the same message, "bidders identies are protected until end of auction".
Please tell me that bidders identies are not protected even from the seller!! I emailed eBay, but their response time is not the greatest, so I am turning to you guys for help.
thanks

Here is what I found on Ebay...
Private Auctions
Strictly hush, hush—use this auction to protect a buyer's privacy.
Bidders' email addresses won't show up on the item or bidding-history screens.
When the auction is over, only the seller will know who bought the item.
This option can't be used with Dutch Auctions

and some more info off ebay...
Private Auctions
A seller may specify that an auction will be private.
This means that the bidders' email addresses will not be disclosed on the item screen or the bidding history screen. Only the seller and the high-bidder are notified via email when the auction is over.
This option is useful when the seller believes that potential bidders may not want their identities disclosed to the general public. This option is not available for Dutch Auctions
