Does anyone else watch this show? Each week, in addition to the people bringing in items ala Antiques Road Show, they have a girl who brings in something she bought at an online auction. They never mention the auction site where she found this item listed. Most of the time she breaks even or has a dud. Occasionally, she will have paid $20 for something that is worth $50.

Last night, however, she had bought a vintage mesh handbag for $10. She said the seller had great pictures but very little in the description. In fact the description was "great old silver mesh bag" or something like that. No dimensions or anything. Turns out the appraiser said the bag was Art Deco (around 1942) and was sterling silver but it was not marked. He estimated it to be worth $100-$150.

LOL Valleygirl. I like to watch these shows, not to find out the values, but to learn about markings, etc.
