Over the weekend I had a bidder use BIN. She asked me a lot questions (after she used BIN) about the item. Then when she was ready to pay she ask me not to charge her sales tax
(even though she is in the same state).

This afternoon I get a letter from her saying she isn't going to pay for the item (celebrity) because it is an illegal item and she personally knows the celebrity and he told her it is counterfeit.

I had the manufacture write to her to let her know that they only produce licensed items.

She wrote me back and said she would only pay a couple of dollars for it.

I think she was trying to blackmail me into selling it to her for nothing. I let EBAY know about this and I hope I can get credit.

I checked out her feedback and half of it is negative.

Has anyone else had this type of experience?

No, but she sounds like a loon. Keep in constant email-touch with Ebay to create a history...that way they can clearly see her as a problem, and you'll be able to safely extricate yourself from this mess.

Good luck!

IF she knows this celebrity why is she buying this item?

I doubt she knows the "celebrity". He is cashing the royalty checks every month! I told her that I did not want her business and Ebay told me I could ban her from my auctions. She probably will not be on Ebay very long because of her feedback record.
