Hi, all--Any quick and easy ways to clean old records, without buying special equipment?

I know you can clean the later vinyl records (33 & 45 rpm) with mild, lukewarm, soapy water and a soft cloth, wiping with the grooves. Then rinse in lukewarm water. Of course you've got to carefully avoid the paper label in the middle.

I don't know what the old 78's are made of though. You might try the above on a severely worn or damaged one first to see if it harms them at all.
