They read your Terms Of Sale, they bid on your auction, win, pay you. You send the item promptly, in good condition and they still are not satisfied and they leave you a far below what you should get feedback?

My shipping and handling fee's are clearly noted in my auctions. If someone does NOT want to pay what I charge for shipping then they just should not bid. You bid, you pay, I send, what's the problem?

*frustrated*

Do you charge excessive handling compared to others selling similar items? That's not meant to be arguementative at all, but bidders always want a little bit better deal, you know? I make a few cents here and there on shipping small items First Class and that's about it. On large items or Priority shipping I give them actual shipping and yes, I do eat the cost of bubble wrap, etc. most all of the time. But it's worth it for me. It may even get me an extra bid or two now and then, so I doubt if I lose much at all.

I lower the cost of shipping for things like magazines, CD's, etc by almost $2.00. But DVD's, movies, etc I have a flat rate and use 1st class or Priority Mail.

But if it specifically states in my Terms what my shipping is and I provided what is stated as great service and a great product do I deserve a neutral or negative? I'd rather have NO feedback at all.

No, of course you don't deserve a neg or neutral if you delivered the goods as stated. But you're dealing with all kinds of people and a few might imagine some kind of slight. A few of those do stupid things like leave underved feedback.

Sorry it happened to you.

it's okay loosecannon, I'm not going to sit here and cry for an hour about it I just don't understand what the deal is. I have bid on, and won, DVD's that shipping was stated at $5.00 US Dollars. That's a LOT but I pay it because I KNEW that was what it was beforehand! I get the DVD Media Mail and leave positive feedback. I bid, I paid, item arrived in stated condition and while I may have been "overcharged" (but not knowing the seller's handling costs perhaps not, as time, supplies, etc are all "handling) I still leave positive feedback.

On to the next batch of transactions

As I buyer, I leave feedback based upon how the seller and the merchandise meet my expectations. So, it's important for the seller to include as much pertinent info as possible in the listing.

If I buy a CD and the seller charges $5 S&H, then it had better be sent by Priority Mail if no shipping method is noted. If the listing says the CD will be sent by Media Mail, then there is no problem as I know what to expect.

I don't expect the seller to charge me exact S&H, but if I pay $5 at least $3 of that should go towards postage and packaging.

libby: I had a boob once blow the opportunity of a lifetime, over a $7. shipping descrepency.

I started a computer auction at $1.00 with no reserve...

eBay went down during their real nasty 22 hour plus crash.

This guy won a Pentium III computer for under $300. COMPLETE! 17" monitor and all!

My shipping was a flat $49.00

He b*tched about it because he "estimated the weight" and fiquered that it would only cost $42.00 to ship.

I wouldn't budge, and he sent a money-order for the amount due less $7.

I sent the money-order back to him, cancelled the transaction due to his not paying in full within 10 days, negged him, and sold the system the following week for $1100.+

This guy would have got it for $425. LESS then the componants COST ME, but he blew it over a $7. shipping complaint.

You will encounter these kooks, nuts and waco's daily on ebay.

I say 90% of the buyers fall into this catagory

(actually, about 10% is more acurate)

Pocono...just goes to show you, some people will stand on "principle" even when it is NOT in their best interests. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
