I came across 3 large boxes of very old 78 records. They seem to be from a radio staion.
The covers are all paper and the same look to them. Alot of the records say not for sale on them.
Most of them only have one song on each side.
Is there a market for these? I can get all 3 boxes for about 50 bucks.

Just my opinion, but I think the market for 78's is more limited than for more modern records. Not non-existant, just more limited. Look for old blues or jazz records in the batch. They may be good.
If it's a dealer offering them to you, you have to ask yourself why? Maybe he/she can't move them? OTOH, if there are some excellent titles in the batch, and those are in good shape, a few might more than pay for the whole batch.

They are not from a dealer..they are in the back of a dirty little second hand store in a very small town I passed though the other day...this twon has had a radio station there for years and I am sure they came from there.

I am an International seller who sells 78s from the UK. The market is selective for me mainly rock & roll artist but there is a market out there.I have sent 78s to Australia,Japan & USA have only had one broken one to USA.To mail them the trick is to get a LP Box and pack 78 in center or two bits of 12" cardboard so that the edge of record is not close to edge of box also encase the 12" cardboard in bubble wrap and place in box. This is the best way i have found please contact me if you need any other advice
