What I kinda need is for you cheerleaders to come out and explain why we should continue to maintain trust in Ebay. You cheerleaders and VOICE members who knew about some of this coming down the pike. What do you do exactly? Sell for fun in your retirement years only? Tell me PLEASE are YOU making as much money as you ever were...simply unaffected by any of the recent changes,.. OR are you meerly satisfied with being someone 'in the know' as it were. And that is why you chose to be an Ebay Voice Member. Surely it had nothing to do with the greater good or you might have fought a little harder. At least I would hope so.
I cannot see how anyone could be a voice member and watch this go down.
Are you someone whose spouse possibly makes the majority of your income? So infact, this is just a dang hobby for you?
This Email Fiasco is insulting. The end of Auction notices with mini commercials is VERY annoying to me. I am not in control of much on this venue..anymore.
BUT all the responsibility still falls on my shoulders when the sh__ hits the fan.
Dang I am ticked.
Why don't I just go away? I am pathetic.
I was a cheerleader but they sucked the blood outta me.

Interesting questions .. I'd be interested in the answers from the perspective of the 'cheerleaders' and voices members too.

Not just generic "ebay is great" stuff .. the real stuff please .. the whys, hows, etc.

You're not pathetic, Zeenza! Well, unless I am too and I just don't know it!

Zeenza...I'm not a voices member but I HAVE been called a cheerleader many times

In answer to some of your questions...yes I sell for fun in my retirement years AND I am in this to make money (who said you can't mix business and pleasure?).

No I'm not making as much money as I ever was...I'm making more. My gross sales have been steadily increasing.

My income from ebay is approximately 50% of our household income.

I still feal in control. I'm annoyed with the recent changes on getting email addys but will adapt.

Good luck to you.

Hi Amy .. to what would you attribute your increasing sales while many people are complaining of sales dropping? What are you doing that you think accounts for the increase in your own sales? You don't need to be specific if you feel you have 'trade secrets' but ARE you actively doing things differently to keep up with the changing ebay? Maybe you could address some specifics in a 'generic' way?

I'm a sporadic seller .. doing my last batch of high-end boutique dresses .. they flew out the door last year this time. Not so 2 weeks ago. Am going to list them over the next 2 weeks with Easter, First Communions and Christenings coming up. My last hurrah, if you will.

Zeenza,

Let me reply as a FORMER voices1 member. I was a member of voices 1 when this new "system" was first brought to our attention. There was NOT ONE voices 1 group member who liked the idea. NOT ONE! I can't tell you how many HOURS of phone calls and emails went on during the discussion but it went on for MONTHS!. eBay did NOT listen to our voices group. eBay did what it wanted to do. eBay ALWAYS does what it wants to do. Sometimes eBay does listen and sometimes it doesn't. THIS TIME IT DIDN'T.

Ray
