just wait untill the very last day/hour of the 30 day deadline to neg your deadbeats....chances are they won't have time to respond before the auction goes out of the system! pretty sneaky eh?

I believe they show up in your feedback forum for 90 days.

The 30 day thingy stopped about1.5 yrs ago.

Technically, it should now be 60 days (that's when eBaY made it more difficult for Sellers to request FVC), but ends up being over 90 days...And there is NO guarantee exactly, while before, 30 days was IT...

There seems to be no limit to when a npb can file a negative on you. I had a non paying bidder in July. I filed for credit and left a negative in August. In November she left me a negative saying I wasn't an ideal ebayer>>>LOL...ebay told me policy had changed and there was no time limits on when a negative could be left...used to be once transaction was void due to a credit issued....you couldn't leave feedback on a voided transaction. I hate the feedback thingie and only leave feedback now for bidders who leave feedback for me first. I hate that but leaving feedback first opens you up to some really strange comments...I have over 2000 feedback with 13 negatives all retailatory!!!!!!!!!!

Has Ebay ever addressed the issue of negative feedback left for sellers by deadbeat bidders?

What should they do?

Once you receive your credit that should be the end of the transaction. The seller gave the bidder plenty of time to pay or workout a dispute. I work with bidders if they run into trouble. It is the people who do not respond to your emails, then leave a negative feedback when you request credit from Ebay that really get to me.

Suppose you bid on and win an item. You send the seller a check, he cashes it and files for FVF credit with eBay. Needless to say, he doesn't send your item. Under your proposed system, you can't leave feedback for that seller.

Besides most habitual deadbeats know that sellers usually do a NPB and 10 days later do the FVF and the neg. They will just leave the neg on the ninth day after the NPB.

I have learned to just state the facts. "Bidder did not pay for Auction. I do not know why. Relisted."
