I guess it could not last forever. March 14th fees are in effect for using auction manager.

First Paypal, then eBay, then the post office and now you guys. bummer

oh yeah, and then next year, the post office once again.

What is your fee structure?
Our service fees are primarily based on your auctions' performance. You can elect to subscribe to two different service plans. We offer two different plans to meet your needs; a standard plan and a power plan for high volume sellers.

Standard Plan: Fees will be $0.05 per auction listing plus a final value fee of 1% of the item's closing price.
• If your auction does not close with a winning bidder, you will only be billed the nominal $0.05
• The final value fee is capped at $30 per transaction

Power Plan: Fees will be $0.05 per auction listing plus $200.00 for a year's subscription of AuctionWatch services with no final value fees.

I guess it was too good to last. I'll be saying bye-bye to AuctionWatch when they start charging I guess. I am not a high-voume seller and will go back to doing it myself. All this nickel and diming is getting to be too much for what I take in.

Well, time to find a different image host. I can't afford to pay AW too. Pretty soon we'll be charged for how many hits the pictures get, and how many pixels wide they are, and if they have more than 6 colors in them. :

I wonder, will we be able to use the old method of using AW for image hosting, but not use Auction Manager to launch? Will there be a charge for that too?

For me it will not be worth selling on eBay anymore.

I sell small items in the 2-4 pound range and each sale is around $5.00. Most my buyers use Paypal so I give them 30 cents, ebay 30 cents, the postal increase has hurt business and now AW wants their piece of the pie.

I have held on for as long as possible with all the nickle and dime increases and I guess it is finally time to throw in the towel and call it a day. thanks AW!

Not ours4you anywhere

Hi cmbtboots where did you find this information? And WHY are they doing this?!
I guess I'll have to go elsewhere to list my auctions too, cause I'm a very small time seller...more of a cleaning out the closets type. DARN!

Meya...

Can you host your pics with your ISP? That's what I do...I get 10mg free space. Of course, I'm paying $39 a month for my cable service, which is also my ISP...

Well it looks like flea markets will be back again since it is becoming impossible to make money. I can set up for a weekend for only $5.00, but on ebay that only lists 10 items over 9.95. The big downfall for me was the shipping hike. If the people wont pay to ship then we are out of business.

This really sucks because small sellers are going to leave eBay because of all these fees.

I really love using the AW services, and to be honest when I discovered them, I was surprised they were free. All good things must come to an end and I for one am sorry to leave AW because I, like so many other people, mostly small items and it is just not worth the added cost to host pictures and launch my auctions for here.

Anyone know of any alternatives? I am outta here as soon as the fees go into effect.

Toke...ever since we added a router to share our cable connection on our home network, I can't connect to my ISP space. We've messed with settings, tried different FTP programs, something just won't play nice.

I suppose I can switch to a direct connection once per week and upload all at once. If worse comes to worse, I'll park them on my "page" at MSN for a while until I figure something else out. I have lots of friends who also use RR, I will try going to their house and upload from there.

Meya...good. You're so knowledgable, you'll figure something out. It's nice not having to rely on someone elses site staying up. I'm quite lucky...my cable system has only gone down once in 2 1/2 years.

So mostly, I just worry a lot about eBay staying up...

I will be leaving also, enough is enough. For the last few months picture quality hosting at AW !*@#'s, I'll send the same picture to my old host and presto, big improvement in quality!!!! Last time I mentioned this in a thread, it was yanked! Anyone else have this problem???

Thanks <b>combtboots<b>! Oh well, so much for this! I just ran over and checked out one of the "other" auction/image hosting sites. They're still free up to 3MB of image space. That would probably be enough for me...since I'm small potatoes, LOL. This sucks though, cuz I really like AW! Do you think we could all get together and convince AW NOT to do this? I know-in my dreams, right?

Hi Folks,

If you'd be so kind as to park AW fee discussions under the official announcement I'd appreciate it:
