BECAUSE-- silly~LOL isn't it nice of the nice people to be a "weather vane" for e-commerce?

What it means- is SOMETHING is brewing..... and by AW charging us-- means a new tech thingy is breathing down their neck now.

This industry is SO NEW-- that we will all look back in chagrin that due to our NON technical knowledge - we could have been doing something absolutely no-brainer and
free ALL ALONG!

Remember the printed word? Flyers? Biz cards?
Word of Mouth? Our OWN computer - is capable of doing most anything we PAY people to do..on the net. We were duped into thinking we NEEDED people like AW. Our ISP's gave us web space - only we had to learn FTP and nobody did.

Now, all the image hosters are charging because something NEW is on the horizon....I can smell it [idea]

WE NEED TO SEARCH FOR A FREE SITE. EVERYONE WANTS IN ON THE SMALL PROFIT OF OUR AUCTIONS. IT'S HARD ENOUGH TO MAKE A BUCK AND NOW SOMEONE WANTS ANOTHER CUT!!! I WILL PAY THE .O5 PER LISTING BUT IF THE 1% STICKS...I'M OUTTA HERE!!!

If you know enough about html, cgi, scripts, ect. AuctionWatch would not be hard to mimic. The AW users could form their own AuctionWatch but with a different name....

A flat monthly fee like Goto might be ok but I'm not going to pay pretenders like AW listing fees and precentages.

For now I will use Auctionworks free image hosting and launch my own auctions, thank you anyway.

Its not something new on the horizon its the competition is getting tougher in this market.

Notice chargeing fees for these services isnt new the older companies been watching the new comers like andale charge for the same service from there start and these services are growing and exspanding quick.

Its hard for the services that been around a while like AW to keep up with the pace of the new for fee services while they still just make banner ad money.

small sellers just cannot absorb any more fees especially for pics..a/w has been great,& we thank them but seems the 2 weeks notice was terrible & wanting a percentage seems very shocking not like them at all!
NEW person at the helm??for pics
check out baypal
i also put 1/2 of my things at free auctions epier..they also host pics free
super chat boards there..SEEMS EVERYONE HAS MOVED OVER THERE..their home page says NO BIG BROTHER..& they mean it..very refreshing..
