Am I the only one that doesn't like really long threads? I dont like to read threads over about 50 replies.
The reason is because they end up having 4 or 5 sub threads within the thread.
It's impossible to start a new train of thought in a thread that already has several other conversations going in it and is just a waste of my time trying to dig through to read and reply to the parts that pertain to what I was posting.
Plus usually if a thread is that long it's because a bunch of people are bickering, or complaining. So then nobody else reads the threads when they get like that. So now my post is garbled in with a bunch of bickering and everything else and nobody is reading the thread anyways.
This is why I just stay away from long threads.
It's also why having just one thread about the new annoucement isn't the right one. IMHO of course. Not because I want to see 10 threads about it, but because may people have different thoughts and questions.
Anyone else not like the really long threads.
2 pages is my max. Once it goes past that I'm outta there.

I agree 110%!
If I see a thread with more than 60 posts, I don't even get invovled. I have actually taken it upon myself to respond to the thread by starting a new one---since my comment on the subject will likely not be read when it is post #225.

And amen from me, too. Some of those long threads with three or four folks chatting back and forth are sort of like self-gratification (if you know what I mean).

I agree 100% - after more than 40 - 50 responses I tend to wonder what the main topic is and sometimes I lose interest!

Well hopefully this thread will peter out before it gets to 50 or 60 because none of us will be reading it then. :P

Is this why AW is only keeping one thread on the EO about their new fees? Hoping that no one will be interested?

Yes, they don't want 50 threads telling AW where they can stick their fees.

Taz,
They are locking and or deleting all the other threads that have to do with their fees.

They don't mind the heat being on other services...only their own.

They don't want 50 threads about the same thing so that they can keep some type of order.
Also note that discussion of AW fees belong in the AW services area, and not in the EO.

Mark

Agreed. AW did this to us when discussing the co-op option and also tried banishing us to the "Other" section.
Email for more co-op info!

I agree! I think new threads keep it fresh, and we can still talk about old topics too. I found out this morning when the new fee's thread got to 11 pages..
