Well we have new fees, based on the fee structure it will cost me approx 1700.00 a year or do the Super one and cost me about 400.00.
Though I do not like the idea of paying fees I understand as a business that they have a right to make a profit.
I would sooner pay for the service they give than see them go out of business and loose the service they provide.
Its still a whole lot easier and less time consuming to list items through Auction manager.
Though I do not use them for end of auction info.
I have my own ftp site that I can store upto one gig of images but it takes a whole lot of time to do things that way.
Point is they are a business and they need to make money.Who do they make it off of us the ones that use them.
Why should we expect them to be any different than those of us who are trying to make money through ebaY.
Why not give your items away for free on ebaY and see how long you can stay in business.

This is the deal for me.........I am already paying for a auction manager........that I really like........I really like Auction Watch for listing.......but I am not willing to pay them over $400.00 a year...for that service.........If they would break it down and let me just pay for what I am using.....and not for services that I am not interested in.........then maybe........but asking for a percentage of the gross is just over the top!

Hi Adrian, I've never responded to any of your many posts here (I don't think so anyway), but you are pretty much spot on in my book.
For me, using their super service would run about $300 a year. That's for something like 2,000 auctions.
I just recently started using their bulk upload software, and already can see that it cuts down my per item listing time by at least an average of 10 minutes per auction.
So that is over 300 hours of time savings per year, for what, the rather low cost of $300.00, or $1 per hour of time saved, to do other things than sitting at my computer listing auctions, that's for sure.
This could also be titled "What I Did For My Summer Vacation", since 300+ hours is almost exactly 14 days, and here I am self-employed, but last year I don't recall having the time for 2 weeks vacation -- I think I was listing auctions all the time!!!

You do not have to let them take a percentage.
This is the way I look at it.Pay
200 and no 1%.Plus 5c for listing.
I list about 4000 items a year thats
200 dollars plus 200 for a total of 400 a year. For a service that as "Upriver" points out as I do saves me time.My time is worth 25.00 an hour so it still saves me money working with them.
Or the other route 200 dollars for listing plus 1% which is about 1500 for a total of 1700.The second option is still a good value.
If they stay in business and save me time and charge me for it so be it.
Back to hunting for other items I can make money on.
Upriver in all honesty I have not seen any good threads really worth responding too like we used to have a year to ago anymore
on AW.

digitalmaster - I understand your frustration, but this is not a public posting forum like usenet - This is a message forum that is sponsored by a business. They have a right to edit the posts however they feel they should. I have a web site that has a message board, and I certainly edit posts. It's my right, since it is my board. The only choice you really have is to accept that, or move on.

Everyone,
We appreciate your support. But once again, I'm going to have to ask you to confine your posts concerning the new fees to the Announcement thread here in the eBay Outlook, or in the AuctionWatch Services Forum. This forum is designed to be eBay specific and we don't want it to be dominated by discussion of the new fees.
Thanks for your cooperation. I'm going to lock this thread now.
