Organizations like AW must PAY EBAY to use the API (Application program interface)
From EBAY Unfortunately, we are unable to give you specific information about the API pricing structure at this time. This information is considered confidential and is discussed only with licensed developers. We can tell you that there is a one-time enrollment fee, a monthly maintenance fee, and a usage fee based on the number of API transactions and the time of day. If your application is approved, a Business Development manager will contact you to discuss your stated plans and program pricing.

So
The info is CONFIDENTAIL, and most likley they are also obligated to not even disclose the fact that they have to pay fee's. Hence, this post will likely be deleted.

Before this thread gets locked....
this is not a surprise in light of eBay developing their own html code which can be copyrighted or may already be.
this brings me back to my concern. AW will need to be a provider of traffic in order to justify the fees.
I understand that AW is a business and needs to make a profit and in this case bring in the additional revenues needed to pay off ebay. However, simply adding on a fee for formerly free services is not business model that will fly. Yahoo! may get away with it because they provide the traffic.
Any hosting and listing service will also need to create additional benefits to keep the customers who will pay a fee.
I host my own images and build my own listings. If AW could bring my listings just 25% more traffic I would gladly pay 1% of my FVF.

I was talking to a friend of mine who sells too. She has never used AW, but she was curious if eBay was aware of the fact that AW is going to be taking a cut of sales too. She thought that eBay might not be totally thrilled with that, and that it might be a conflict of interest.
