I have learned to spend an additional $.35 to cover the cost of a Delivery Confirmation Number at the Post Office. That way you will know if it was delivered.

Some threads on here jump up and down concerning shipping and handling charges. I would just automatically add the confirmation charges as part of your "handling" expence and move on. There is no way you can prove that this guy did or did not get the item he purchased from you without tracking the shippment.

This is what I do. I charge a flat $5.50 shipping and handling in my auction description. The bidder knows up front what I charge. He or she has the option to bid or not. I have sold over 650 items in the past 12 months with not one complaint. Out of that $5.50, postage is $3.95 at the most. Tracking is $.35. Insurance is $1.10 up to $50.00. It sure saves the grief ! !

Seems that more and more buyers are holding neg feedback over sellers heads like a baseball bat. As long as sellers fall for it and comply to these underhanded buyers rules, they will just keep doing it.

We need to start standing up and saying no! So you get a neg feedback, take it and move on. You can always reply with the facts.

I always read the reply to neg feedback, I think that says more than the neg does anyway.

If this person refused to pay for insurance, too bad, it's their loss, not yours.

If you have another one why not just send them one. But first make them wait 30 days, sign a statement that they didn't receive it.

Look at UPIC's affidavidt form

If they declined the insurance they can work it out with the post office.

Thank you for all of the information, I think I am going to send him another one (with insurance) and hope for the best, Having been paied with Paypal and all that I have read, the last thing I would need is to have them put a hold on my account for 6.99.
