Or everyone that does not take checks? I am a buyer and seller on Ebay. I haven't bought anything for a while.I am looking to buy some Disney blankets, sheets, and such for my daughter's bedroom. All and I mean all Disney Princess sellers only take money orders, paypal, or billpoint. I'm not really complaining, but it would be nice if they were a little more flexible on that. What is going on with that? Is it just Disney sellers? Or is a lot more sellers not accepting checks anymore?

I am also a buyer and seller on eBay. I prefer to pay for everything through PayPal, but I also write checks. (I refuse to pay a fee for a money order.) As a seller, if I expect an item to go for more than $20 or so, then I state that the buyer will have to wait approximately 10 days for their check to clear before the item ships. This saves me from a bounced check, which is probably why so many sellers don't accept personal checks at all anymore. I personally don't mind if a seller holds my check for clearance. If I need something faster, then I only bid with someone who takes PayPal.

I sell a lot of Disney stuff (videos), and I have no problem with checks. Of course, I prefer money orders, since checks have to go through that whole clearing process, but in my years on Ebay, I've only ever had 3 checks bounce, none for terribly significant amounts.

There are sellers who've been burned on a number of bounced checks so they don't take them anymore.
Not really any different from sellers who don't take PayPal or BillPoint, just their way of doing business based on their experiences or personal preferences for payment.
There are sellers who only take BillPoint or PayPal, no checks or money orders.
