Somehow our user ID on our copy of eBud was changed and it now has a space in it. The software will not allow me to change the user name so I thought I would just change the account username online at auctiva to reflect the same name as our software reads. Unfortunately Auctiva does not allow a space to be entered in a persons user name.

What I need to do now is try to find a way to make eBud allow me to change our username so that I can remove the space.

By the way, I have already tried re-installing the software and it automatically defaults to my old username.

Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I promise you...I'm not making light of your question. If you ask Support...they will answer you. It might take a day or two, but they've helped me every time.

Dunno where they've gotten the bad rap... It is always good to be pleasant when asking for help?

When you uninstall the software, are you saving the DAT file ? The corruption might be in that-I can't say for sure as I am certainly no expert, but this is what I would do: Uninstall and then find the directory that ebud was in, if there are any remaining folders or files, delete them manually. Then I would run regclean to make sure there is nothing remaining in the registry keys that could keep the wrong setting after you reinstall.

This said, the problem might be on their end as well.

Best of luck.

I have been trying for a month to upgrade eBud from version which won't pick up the e-mail addresses correctly, and I can't get the upgrade to "take."

I finally threw in the towel and since I already had AuctionTamer running, so I switched to it, and love it. BUT I would also like to be able to run eBud, but for some reason I simply can not get the upgrade to "take".

Has anyone else had this experience?
