I used to have a nice little utility called PhotoBase by ArcSoft that let me group thumbnails on my hard drive in albums. It included a few photo enhancing options which worked pretty well. Lost my hard drive recently, can't find the original disk or CD for that software.
Sooooo, does anyone know of a freeware or shareware photo album utility I can download somewhere? It would be nice if I could add descriptions, but that's not absolutely necessary.
Or, even some inexpensive commercial products you'd recommend?

I **think** it was Abacaxi that put me onto this site.....www.nonags.com.....but it is GREAT, with hundreds and hundreds of freeware programs that do just about ANYTHING. The site is easy to navigate and easy to download. The programs are listed by type and have a brief write up of what it does.....I have really found some great stuff. Hope this helps.....Pam

Thanks, folks -- actually, what I need are specific product recommendations. I spent hours tonight at:
CNET
ZDNET
TUCOWS
and downloaded 2 products, and wrote down probably 2 dozen others. One of the 2 products took over 2 hours to download. I don't think I like either one.
It is a 5meg download, but Graphic Workshop will convert between formats, make slideshows, create thumbnails, etc. Read the info and see if it'll work.

Thanks very much, adone -- that looks real good. But if I can get my registration code from LView Pro (which I've already paid for -- once), I don't need all that graphics handling. And understandably, I'd rather avoid paying another $40 on top of the $49 I paid sometime last year for LView Pro.
I'll definitely keep it in mind, tho. If LView Pro waits much longer in getting back to me, I'll have to do SOMETHING else!
I'm getting very confused and more than a little bummed.
Anyone else have any ideas for photo organizing tools they use or like?

You don't HAVE to pay the $40. This program is shareware and 95% of the features work w/o purchase. There is just a screen requesting you to register in the beginning.
