Has anyone had an auction removed by a Vero member, if so, did you request proof that they were the actual copyright holder? And how can you tell which members are genuine and not fakes?
There are many threads here at AW discussing this topic in some depth- you can do a search on "vero" to find out more. Most of the info is on the eBay site as well, but it's kinda hard to find.
There are some VeRO abuses, but at the end of the day it works pretty well, and complies with the requirements of the DMCA.
If you're auction was ended improperly, and you're certain that you've not infringed on anyone's copyright or trademark, then file the appeal. Unless the copyright holder is willing to file a civil suit against you, eBay will allow you to relist the auction.

I had a auction removed by a vero member recently
I agree with steve the program is not entirley bogus but it is ripe for abuse.
my advice would be to immediatley contest it with ebay while you are trying to work it out with the vero member
My mistake was waiting and trying to work it out with a nonresponding vero member.
my instance the removal was completley bogus but he has manged to keep my item off for 10 days now and I still have to give him 14 days before ebay will allow me to relist.
duby..He does not have to file suit..He files a court order to stop the relisting.
I have contacted ebay and vero in a attempt to file a complaint of fraud by a vero member but I have gotten nowhere
