i've waited until this evening to list. start the first one, started it at $9.99 with a reserve of $50, charged $3.20? is that right? seems high. anyway, i hit continue. socket error. hit submit again. get a 'don't do that, we're processing yer listing.' wait, and wait, and wait. nothing. go to my ebay page to see if it listed ... doesn't come up. try to check through honest, ebay timed out.
anyone else??
grrrrr, i've been waiting days to list tonight!

I have had all kinds of strange things happening on Ebay tonight. I'm trying to file a FV Credit. Ebay keeps saying the auction is no longer in the database (it hasn't been 30 days) and it doesn't show up in completed searches. It has been a little under a month and I can't leave feedback or file for my final value credit? What the hell?! I also can't pull up MY EBAY or my Seller's List.
So, to answer your question, NO, it's not just you.

Yes once again ebay has limited functionality for example seller search is not working either. No doubt I will get lots of flack for saying that and someone will pipe up about how ebay is wonderful and reliable most of the time.
Well I have news for all of the ebay-loving drongos out there that ebay will be starting maintenance early tonite to make massive changes to the "reliable" old ebay that some people seem to love so much. Two things:
1) How "reliable" will the "new" ebay be? haha
2) how long will this message be up on the board before some zealous moderator takes exception to the exceedingly strong language that I have used characterizing ebay infrastructure-lovers as "drongos"?
I wonder what they feed auctionwatch moderators anyway? (Screaming Yellow Zonkers went of business in the 1980's)

This is what I get when I try to look at last weeks auctions on my sellers list:
"Apr-19-01 Apr-19-01 19:12:06 $0.00 ArchivedItemsHost items are currently unavailable No Bids (*) "
Funny thing is, I hit the item #, and the auction comes up. This is why my best stuff has a reserve

I had forgotten that... At least I don't have any auctions going off til Sunday. Ebay said:
"The eBay site will be unavailable from 2300 PDT on Thursday the 19th until 0400 PDT on Friday the 20th."
Looks like they are starting early.

Quarterly Report is out, stock price is climbing and bonus money is burning a hole in their pockets.
Who can blame them for starting a three day weekend off a little early.

billd26: That archived host thing is why you got the message when you tried to file FV credit. It'll work at some point.

Here is the answer to your first question about listing fees.
Reserve Price Auction Listings
The Insertion Fee is based upon the reserve price of the item you list for sale. Insertion Fees are non-refundable.
When you list a Reserve Price Auction, you will be charged two fees. an insertion fee and also be charged a Reserve Price Auction Fee, which is based upon the reserve price. Reserve Price Auction Fees are fully refundable. At the end of the auction, if your item sells, the Reserve Price Auction Fee is refunded to your account. This also applies to Real Estate. On your ebay listing confirmation it will tell you your insertion fee and your reserve price fee about the third of the way down.
Here are the listing fees
$0.01 - $9.99.......$0.30
$10.00 - $24.00.....$0.55
$25.00 - $49.00.....$1.10
$50.00 - $199.99....$2.20
$200.00 and up......$3.30
I hope this helps.

I dunno, but I was just trying to view an auction in the trade cards category, the eBay page opens but loads only as far as th DESCRIPTION bar, and my computer say Documentone, so I can't view any of the description, pics, anything? Weird, my auctions are all loading fine, wonder what's up with that?

i've had that happen before - the page just stops right under the description bar. all i could figure was the person coded the some strange way. at least that's my guess!
