Let's talk about that email list, Jane. I'm at [email protected]. Despite what some perceive in me as a know-it-all attitude (and I apologize if I came across that way), I've gotten some valuable tips in these discussions and would genuinely like to continue them in some form. Thanks for offering.

I, also, am willing to join up. Thank you all for your helpful insites, they have given my sales a boost. And Craig, it's always nice to listen to a more knowledgable book seller then myself.

Craig I'll send you an email - and I never perceived it as a know-it-all - I saw it as an attempt to share some of what you have learned - one of the your mileage may vary situations....
Everyone else, I'll set it up tonight and either list the url to join or send emails to those who want it...

Hi all - here is the URL for the mailing list:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BSFI
Everyone who expressed an interest here was added as a member - anyone else who is interested will need to sign up.
I have added some links on books - grading, terms, postage, collecting - I will be adding more tomorrow. If anyone has any other favorites that are book related, let me know and I can add them.
Good night all!

Jane & Craig - thanks so much!! Have loved the threads and learned alot and was so disappointed by the negativity/contentiousness of the last one (as well as many other threads here)! I've joined.

Now you're talking. I have followed all of the threads and have learned so much from everyone involved. If you are moving this to a maling list to weed out the negativity, please include me.

Thanks
OMG! I've turned into one of my own buyers. I responded before reading everything. I feel so embarrased.
Thanks for starting the new Egroup. I just registered. Now you'll know how many people are really interested.

Morgantown - nope - no coop. Just trying to centralize some of the info - I've added links to some wonderful sites on cleaning/storing/collecting/what's hot, etc. - just another reference point.

A question...
If you link your email to a Yahoo Groups account...do you start getting mail or spam from Yahoo at that email address?

Toke,
You can pretty much guarrantee it. That is why I have a couple yahoo email addresses set up specifically for things like this.

Thanks, cabledogii!
I was to the point of adding the authorization code when I had a major twinge. I don't need any more spam at my primary address...

Cabledoggi - I belong to a couple of other maillists through there - I haven't noticed any spam from them .... but then, I unsubscribe to any piece that comes my way - so maybe they did at first...
Claire - I'll send an email..

Jane,
True you can be removed from any spam after you register, but it takes a while to find the right link to change those options. Most people who aren't used to dealing with yahoo toys may end up on a lot of lists before they realize that. I'm registered with a few, and it was ugly until I changed my ISP. Once it gets out, it never seems to end.

I must have done it at some point, then....I don't have much come my way...
but then there are days that I can't remember what I did yesterday....
I do have free mail accounts that I use for lists though - and auction stuff. So I just unsubscribe as I go.
