I try to be extremely clear in my TOS so my winners have a fun experience! Just had someone win TWO of my audiobook auctions (17 tapes total!) -- then PayPalled me payment without waiting for the EOA email.
Here's what in all my auctions regards media mail shipping (I also offer P-Mail & I combine multiple orders!).
Please read my blurb and take the quiz
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
USPS MEDIA MAIL + DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Buyer pays $2.65 S&H / 4-15 Business Days Estimated Delivery
(Videos; CD's; and Audiobooks with 3 or fewer tapes = $2.25)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, if you had just won TWO auctions with the total of 17 TAPES, which would you believe the shipping charge to be?
(this is a m-choice quiz!)
a) $2.65
b) Greater than $2.65 (but less than 2X2.65, since I COMBINE SHIPPING TO SAVE YOU MONEY!
c) $2.25
d) $4.50
Is my TOS clear? We'll soon find out!

I'm going with choice (b) after rereading several times (though I do have to admit the talk about the $2.25 did muddy the waters in my opinion.)

Wellll, actually I was going to vote for (e) $5.30 but that wasn't one of the options (though misscandle didn't let THAT stop her!).

Eventer: Numbers hurt my head.
Edited to add: I'm choosing (c) because I'll save money that way.

Yeah, b is of course correct. She sent $2.25 -- but seeing the responses here, maybe I wasn't as clear AS I thought I was>
$2.25 is the CORRECT amount if you buy ONE audiobook consisting of 3 or fewer tapes.
I thought this was obvious?

At best....Its FUZZY!
Its a TOS a person almost needs to study.
Lets see the bidder wins (2) auctions, each with 7 tapes. So we have 14 tapes total.
No mention of combined auctions, so after a little study time I'd have to say....Shipping cost to be $5.30.

B. If you combine to save $
A. If you just combine...
E. Maybe they "thought" they were paying for priority

OK its 17 tapes.
When you are running an auction that already has 3 or more tapes in it, you should delete this line ----> (Videos; CD's; and Audiobooks with 3 or fewer tapes = $2.25) <------- out of that auction.
That would cut down on anything that may have been misead.

Say what??
I'm only talking about this one paragraph in my TOS...here's the whole thing:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES FOR SHIPPING!
#1
USPS PRIORITY MAIL + DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Buyer pays $4.65 S&H / 2-4 Business Days Estimated Delivery
(Videos; CD's; and Audiobooks with 3 or fewer tapes = $4.20)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#2
USPS MEDIA MAIL + DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Buyer pays $2.65 S&H / 4-15 Business Days Estimated Delivery
(Videos; CD's; and Audiobooks with 3 or fewer tapes = $2.25)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
USPS shipping insurance is available (and encouraged) for the additional fee (actual cost) of $1.10 (up to $50.00) or $2.00 ($50.01 to $100.00).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then I have a scrolling marqee which states:
MULTIPLE ORDERS ARE HAPPILY COMBINED!

This reminds me of when White-Fang asked Soupy Sales for help with his homework!
White Fang question #1 "Who's buried in Grant's tomb?'
Soupy's reply: "Ah, don't know, sorry!"
White Fang question #2 "What color was Washington's white horse?"
Soupy's reply: "Gee, don't know!"
White Fang's question #3: "Do ya mind me asking you questions?"
Soupy's reply: "Of course not, If ya don't ask questions, how ya gonna learn?!"
