So many of the collector books are poorly thought out and badly illustrated. I love investing in books that went 'the extra mile'. Please suggest your favs.

One of mine is AMERICAN ART TILE by Norman Carlson (usually found in the art section rather than collectibles). Fabulous illustrations....very well written. Worth the price.

I've got a pretty good one implanted in my brain, but it's as yet untitled. The information therein is usually fairly accurate and I depend on it a lot. But the idiot that wrote it gets me into trouble at times, and I end up paying too much for something.
