I was using Bibliofind a lot to research old books, I found not only the bookseller prices of use, but their descriptions which often contained information about special elements of old editions.
However, about 10 days ago I was researching a book on Bib, late at night, and right in the middle of it **POP** the entire screen vanished then re-appeared in the new Amazon format (hey, I was there!).
Now though, when I try to search a title, it seems that all that comes up is the title, and the price it's for sale at on Amazon, and NO other information about the book whatsoever.
Am I missing some aspect of how to search now, or did Amazon manage to destroy the best rare book search engine on the net? That wouldn't surprise me actually, since just about everything else they've touched has turned to petrified dinosaur do-do.

Amazon has owned Bibliofind for a couple of years, and has now shut it down and attempting to get it's booksellers and customers to shop at Amazon Marketplace or Zshop for their used books.
Try www.Abe.com for your research--many of the Bibliofind sellers listed there too.

Good ol' ABE, about the best place left to find book information. But there is also BookOpoly and bookave, they're OK. But, far and away, ABE is the best (for today, anyhow )
