Could you please give me some advice on this?
I sell very expensive lingerie,
And I have this one bidder that likes me auctions, but I dont like XY all that much..
(i'll refer to the bidder as Xy from now on)
XY won two of them about a month ago,
It took XY 15 days to pay for it
(actualy some one else did,XY was "sick"
Takes forever just to get a reply out of Xy
(4 days avarage)
Now Xy won one more of my auctions,
It ended on the 10th of may.
My TOS says that I wont payment within 10 days, i'm not good with math,
But I think it was 17 days now,
Got some exuses, but still no payment,
Should I leave neutral if I ever get the money and should I remove Xy from my bidder list? ( is it possible on eBay?)
BTW Xy has 3 negs for non paying and
Some neutrals for the same reason as mine,
Total of XY's purchases are close to
$300! I want to keep the money coming in,
But should I bother with all these problems?
(sorry that the thread was so long guys

I hope your bidder turns into a BUYER, same thing has happened to me several times. Let the thing run it's course, file for your fees as necessary, Neg when you reach the end of a reasonable time (a month?) and Block her from bidding on your items.
I received a check on an item two months AFTER I'd left a Neg on. It was drawn on a trust account, I just pictured someone not quite responsible for their actions, bidding while the caregiver used the bathroom, or something. It was a one yard piece of fabric printed with very realistic tigers. An impulse purchase for sure.
Mom, watch your pennies and the dollars will watch themselves.........or not.

I would say from your letter her major problem is that she is a slow payer and slow to contact you.
I would feel like you do also, I also have bidders that take forever to contact me
and to pay. But with so many auctions up and running and always doing
listings I am very patient about this problem. To me the bottom line is
The Money does come, maybe late but as long as it comes. Why get rid
of a steady customer who spends.
If you feel you can't wait and you want your money fast, we'll not with her I guess. You have to decide what is better, waiting or spend time filing for NPB
and Final Value Fee, and relisting and sending her emails. There is a lot of
time wasted. Either be patient or do your filing and you could also block her
from bidding if you want to.
Just how I feel about it!

Thank you both for the reply's.
The only thing I dont get is that Xt has almost 125 possitives for being great buyer,
And those negs then, and Xy paid for 11
Other auctions since mine closed,
Maybe it's personal,
I'll just wait a while and see.
BTW, how can you remove someone
From the bidder list?
Thanks again

Dear tabbinosity
Thank you for the link.
And dear MrsSantaClaus,
What is a PITA buyer?
Xy bought only once before,
(2 auctions on the same day)
And now is the 3rd,
What I was saying that while
I'm waiting (again)
For 20 days for my money,
XY had paid for 11 other auctions
That she won with other sellers,
I even offered credit card payment,
For the first 2 auctions,
XY didnt pay herself, she had someone
Else do it, which I didnt care,
finaly I got my money ,
But now, all over again.
Well, I told Xy that on the 30th of may I'm
Filling for NPB allert
And I got no response, so I'm guessing
I lost this one
Thank you all guys for your advice.
I never had to ask before
All my other buyrs pay within 24 hours or 4 days

I know how you feel. I have a repete buyer that does me the same way. I guess she thinks because she "knows" me she can get by with holding off on paying me last.
I think her main reason for being so slow with the green was because she was wanting to combine shipping on other items she saw listed. ( and wouldn't end for another week).
I fixed that by asking her to go ahead and pay for the items as she won them and when she was ready I'd give her a shipping price. I explained that I was afraid I'd loose track of what she had won and what was a NPB auction.
I told her my auction program would file a NPB notice with eBay after 10 days if I didn't catch it first... Ok so it was a little white lie ...sort of

Oy,
Why cannt these people pay ?
When I bid on auctions,
I make sure that I get the payment out right away.
I dont combine shipping,
I actualy charge high rate of $7 per set.
(lingerie - 1 set - 1 box)
I have decided to remove her,
Her $300 isnt worth all the agrivation
And time to me,
I spent 4 days emailing her and
Getting no responce, while I
Could have been selling and not eating
So much sunflower seeds cause of this
And if she askes...
What customer service...?
First I would need her to be a customer!!!

I have been very lucky I guess. My customers are great. Some are slower to get payments to me however I'm in business to sell and just love getting the money in "any time".
I send a 2nd WBN, then a gentle reminder when I don't hear from them or don't get the payment. People have lives and things happen that distract folks from following up quickly. That doesn't mean they are bad buyers. Ebay's policy isn't always workable for some people.
I'm in the middle of dealing with a family member dying from brain cancer. I sure would not want a seller nagging me for money and I sure don't think I should be required to offer reason for any delay I might be having in attending to matters. I have been sick myself a few times after I placed a bid and after sales but my customers have always been happy with their products as I provide something they like.
Life happens...... relax and enjoy it and be patient with other people and their own life struggles. Consider yourself lucky that you don't have any "ordeals" to face.
I'm sure you heard the expression "Don't sweat the small stuff".
Good luck with your sales, I think you are lucky to have a great repeat customer.

MrsSantaClaus,
Thank you for your help,
XY is blocked since yesterday.
I had people spent much more money with
Me using the same payment (cc with Bidpay)
And they paid within hours,
I thought that's the beauty of credit cards,
You dont have to pay for it right away
Cherrytreegirls,
I wrote something similar last Friday
Stating that today (20 days after the auction ended) is the last day to send payment via
Bidpay and I havent heard from Xy since,
So I guess that was the choice, cause I didnt see any emails from Bidpay.
Greengate
Sorry to hear about your family,
I sent total of 16 emails,
Got one response...
I'm also seriously sick and I use eBay
To cheer me up, I guess this wasnt my lucky sale.
Guys, thank you all again,
Now I'm going to go and figure out how to file NPB and FVF ( I never had to before)
So I'll be reading eBay's help page for a while
All the best

So I reported it to ebay
And this is a part of the message I got,
(what does it mean?)
You and your seller are encouraged to work things out in the next 10 days. If this situation is resolved during this time, the matter is dropped and you do not need to take any further action.
If, however, your seller is still unsatisfied after this period, you may receive a Non-Paying Bidder (NPB) warning from eBay. Once you obtain three warnings on your record you will be suspended for 30 days. If you receive a fourth warning, suspension will last indefinitely.

Yep, You got it. You can't file until the EOA has been at least 10 days. Then you have tou go another 10-days before you can file for a FVF Credit.
The only good part is, the bidder will receive an e-mail stating that the seller does not have to "hold" the item. It can be relisted at any time after the NPB is filed.
If he/she would happen to send payment ... Return it with a note about it being too late.

Hi Deb,
So can I actually relist right now,
Or do I wait the ten days,
(sorry I'm from Israel, so sometimes
I still miss the point in english
After the 10 day is when I actualy file for NPB? I should have do this week ago...
posted on May 30, 2001 10:23:40 AM
Yes, you are free to re-list the item. You can file a NPB after 10 days of auction's end. Whenever you file, it has to be at least 10 more days to file for your FVF credit.
