I hope to list these two ceramic heads and they look almost familiar--like they should be somebody from an old cartoon or fairy tale. Anybody know who they are? Also, the red sticker on the bottom is blurred but reads something like "A Phil Padel****ort Japan." Any ideas?

I can help a little. The red sticker should read "A Phil Padel Import Japan". I know they did some items for Lefton (which is known for lighthouses), but I don't recognize these two people. Any other markings or clues?

They are 4" tall, and there's a good chance they could be holders for spectacles--with the glasses placed across the bridge of the nose. That would explain the sharp upturned nose on both of them.

I've seen these before--not identical to yours--but similar. Put a pair of glasses on them and they'll probably set nicely on the faces.

I think it's the two main characters from the old "Toonerville Trolley" comic strip...the man is the trolley conductor, and the woman is Katrinka, or something like that...

Thanks for your help. Did some research on Toonerville Trolley and they do look like a couple of the characters. Toonerville Trolley items are highly collectible so looks like these might bring in a good price. It tickles me, because I got them at an area chain thrift shop that recently highly raised their prices on "collectibles"...chips and all. These, however, were out with the "junk." Na ner na ner....
