Hi everyone! Ok, so this will sound spiteful, but I am just curious how other people would handle this.

Bidder won the auction and was sent WBN. Responded saying would send MO. I emailed 10 days after auction end (as stated in my TOS) that no payment had been received nor any communication. 3 days later bidder replied that they had had major car trouble and she would like to know if payment could be made the following week since she still wanted this auction. Against my better judgement, I said ok. End of following week, no MO, no email communication, and bidder's ebay account is NARU. I filed NPBA and for my credit 22 days after auction end. I relisted the items the next day. Yesterday, 31 days after auction end, I get a MO in the mail from the bidder with a quick "Thanks for being patient, please email when you ship out my items." I emailed the bidder saying the items had already been relisted and sold. I asked if she would prefer to have me send the MO back or destroy it and she can get her money back from the MO company. She replies calling me EVERY name I have ever heard of (and a few that I hadn't heard of) about how I was inconsiderate, rude, and unprofessional I was in dealing with people. She also said I HAD BETTER send back her MO since I had so RUDELY sold her items to someone else.

So, after this long winded explaintion about what has happened, here is my question. Would you simply put it in an envelope and return it, or would you cash it, remove the relisting fees (only 55 cents), the 34 cents to buy a stamp and 25 cents to purchase another MO and mail that to her with a polite explaination as to why it is less than her original MO to me? Like I said in the beginning, yes this is a spiteful solution. But, the temptation to BE spiteful after such a provoking letter is very high!

Signed,

This "STUPID (BLEEP)ING (BLEEP)!" (as she so eloquently called me)

I would just send the m.o. back and suck up the cost of the late/deadbeat bidder. Also put them on the blocked bidder list.

Deadbeats and late payers cost sellers money. It may not be much, but it adds up! You've already lost your listing fee from this bidder and now you're going to loose the cost of a stamp. It's unfortunate, but it's the cost of doing business on ebay. Seems there's a lot more deadbeats and slow slow pay when they want to bidders.

Just send it back and get the problem over with. It's amusing that some of these winning bidders can't manage to pay on time but they have the time to make your life hell if you do something they don't like.
