I have Windows 95. Whenever I connect to the Internet and while I'm on the Internet the Encumpdt error message appears: "ENCMUPDT The Jet VBA file (VBAJET.dll for 16-bit versions or VBAJET.32dll for 32-bit versions) failed to initialize when called. Try reinstalling the application that returned the error. OK"

I can't find the Jet VBA file. Is there a website that I can download the Jet VBA file?

I don't know what this error message means and if it is a serious error.

Here are a couple of Microsoft Knowledge Base articles to check out:

Thank you for the two articles.

I read the two articles and they refer to Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft Publisher 98. I don't have either programs. I have Windows 95 with Microsoft Works.

I was hoping to find a website that I could download the VBAJET.32dll file.

The Jet VBA file (VBAJET.dll for 16-bit versions, or VBAJET32.dll for 32-bit versions) failed to initialize when called.
Try reinstalling the applications that returned the error.

Did you try reinstalling the application that is giving you the error?

If you are still having trouble, I would run the Windows Update and make sure you have all the current patches for Internet Explorer. If you are using Microsoft Office, make sure you have installed all of the Security Updates as well from the Windows Update site.

You can get to the Windows update area from within Internet Explorer by going to Tools, Windows Update, or by going to http://www.microsoft.com and selecting the Downloads/Windows Update link from their main page. It will "read" your system, and give you a selection of updates that are available, with Critical Updates first on the list. I would highly recommend you at least install the Critical Updates.
