Just received the following email from someone I have NEVER HEARD of before and I had NO IDEA what they were referring to:
************************************************
Hi,
Thank you very much for letting me know about XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX item # xxxxxxxxxxx by seller xxxxxxxx. It is a great deal and I'll be sure and bid on it before it is over. That seller has some nice items.
Also while I was looking, I saw an Ebay seller with some great deals on many other xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx at prices I thought were well below online booksellers like Amazon.com. If you would like to check them out here is a link to their auctions :
http://www.auctiva.com/showcase/xxxxxxxxxx
If you see anything else let me know and I'll do the same.
Thanks again ! Happy E-baying !
xxxx

Now, the item they were telling me that *I* referred them to was an item I never have had and never WILL have an interest in. They sent this from Ebay's "contact seller" link.
The Ebay ID of the person they are saying I have referred them to has 27 feedbacks. THAT is a DIFFERENT ID of the person who sent me this email. THIS person who sent me this email has (0) feedback and just registered with ebay yesterday!!

I have gotten a couple e-mails very similar to that from a new "auction site" I won't mention the sites name because I don't want ot get the any free advertising since I don't agree with there contact methods. I forwardd the e-mails to safe harbor but There isn't much they can do I wouldn't imaging.
