Hi,

Does anyone know why, when I access Auction Watch, my firewall goes off about every five minutes? Following is the message:

"McAfee Firewall blocked an attempt to attack your machine using a "Port Scan" attack. The remote address associated with the traffic was 64.14.24.138"

When I do a tracert, it goes back to Auction Watch.

I need help from someone who is computer savvy, as I am not.

Thanks!

This has been raised before. Perhaps my old memory is failing but didn't AW start to suspend posters who raised this?

I think AW is planning on charging your CC for every ping they run?

I use Zone Alarm, and haven't had any problems, or alerts.

I'm hoping to change to Zonealarm. I was just wondering if this had anything to do with AW's demand to register with a credit card to be able to post.

Again, I am not really computer literate, but what action on AW's part would cause this alert? Are they pinging? I really thought it was a hacker.

Thanks in advance for any information.
