Last year at this time,we were selling for Christmas.This year even at the Flea Markets, people are not shopping for Christmas yet.I have had many people tell me that they just don't have the heart to even consider it.Some say they don't plan on spending hardly anything.I live in Kentucky and we've lost alot of jobs in our area,so most of our sales are from out-of-state visitors.Do you think people will start buying on E-Bay more at the end of the month?I hate the thoughts of the slow shipping problem close to Christmas.How close to Christmas will you go before you cut off listings?

We just opened a small seaonal gift shop in our local mall, and the 1st four days are slightly better than last year. Hope it continues. So for us the season has started.

Don't cut off listings at all..many sellers do, & you can do well. last year with Y2K i had planned to stop 12-15...well i kept selling & selling more after christmas than before..even with Y2K coming..
remember many people get new computers for christmas(first they want to try is ebay)
also many people get money for christmas,the weather is bad,they are home & off work for the holiday..so more lookers..
it's a different ball game with the net..give someone some money then sit down on Christmas eve,day or after & let them pick out a gift..for me this spurt continued thru new years..
quite a happy surprise..

We started listing Christmas/Holiday items a week ago. Sales are way above my highest expectations! (Thank Goodness...)
