I'm totally clueless how this ebay store purchase works! I have 50 widgets listed on one auction. Buyer wants 6. I get a link from ebay to enter total price with shipping in checkout for ebay to send an invoice. Is this an invoice from billpoint or just something showing how much they owe and when they get the invoice, they are then committed to purchasing the 6 widgets??

After I send this invoice, then I send my regular end of auction letter? Help! I'm so confused!

If it was an auction, they you are getting hit with the famous Checkout. I ignore it. Just go ahead with whatever you normally do when someone buys from you at auction.

It is not an auction. It was listed through the store.

Well this at first horrible experience is coming along pretty good so far.

I filled out the invoice and the buyer (a newbie) was able to complete the checkout and specify she wanted to pay by check. So, now it is "official" with ebay. It shows 44 widgets available.

I've sent my email with payment and order info. Doing the happy dance here!

I really don't like the invoice thing. I would rather write my own EOA - well it isn't a EOA notice just a Store front notice. I like to be first contact and write everything in that first email so there is no problem. Good for you with your store front sale. I only have one at AW. Do you have one here also or just at ebay?
Do you think it is worth it? After my items come off ebay I put them in my AW store front but there is no way for people to know that since the only way to link is the clickable gallery box. I wonder how other people do with their ebay store front. I would be interested to know if it is profitable.

I think the invoice thing is stupid too. Since the bidder see how much each item costs, and any smart seller would put the shipping in the auction, there is no reason for the invoice.

The bidder should just select how many items they want and then the bidder and seller should get purchase confirmations from ebay. Then you should send your regular end of auction email. It would be much simpler that way.

Oh and about auction watch. I don't use auction watch for any thing but the message boards. I used to use their picture services, but I'm not paying someone to host my pictures.

I forgot to mention that store fronts at ebay would be PROFITABLE if the items listed in the stores would also be included in searches in www.ebay.com!!!
