hi all,

I just bought large collection of the thing I specialize in. I am currently entering all of my information, descriptions, pictures, so on. My question is, when should I have the auctions end. If I start the Auctions a week from next sunday, they will end on sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. If I start on Sunday of thanks giving weekend, there will be an entire week of holiday free shopping time for people to find it. Should I end it on the sunday of a holiday weekend, or the sunday after (of course, this is assuming that the best time to end is a sunday night).

I would list the items on 25th to end on the 1st because eBay is usually slow on thanksgiving weekend due to the huge sales at discount stores on black friday. Sunday and Monday night is my best.

If you have a bunch of things ready to go why not list them over time like 5 to 10 per day each 10 day listings.

This is how I list my sales are fairly good one advantage this gives you is that as the first auctions come into the last days if you list a few each day, every day some of your Items are in the ending soon list and on the top of the search list.

The more you are on top the more your Items are viewed the more chance your other items will be seen and get more bids.

The key is to keep your auctions list on the top of ebays lists and searches as offten as posiable with out paying the high costs for there features.....

look at it this way if you list one item every 2 hour on ebay 24/7 you will have one item in the top ten on ebay search list all day long 24/7.

if you list 10 items every 2 hours the same way your on top ten 10X every day all day long, This is the secert of a good many large seller who list 200 to 400 items daily..

I like the idea of listing some auctions every day. What do you think is a good time (hour of the day)to list?

Thanks for your input. I think I am listing my auctions too late in the evening (around 11:00 pm). I'll try for 8:00 and see what happens.

I used to start my auction any day they were ready to go. I found that my auctions that end on sundays drew 10% to 30% more. I started to end my auctions only on sunday, and my sell rate went from about 50% to over 85%, and the average price was about 15% more. I would not consider ending an auction on any other day, except monday on a three day weekend.

WEll good luck with your listings I can tell you sunday auctions havent been the same since last year when they kept crashing every sunday for weeks on end.

sunday has been one of the slower bidding days for the catagory I list in.
