Before their last change, I had troubles revising an item at their site and many good people here offered suggestions that worked.

Since their change, I haven't had any troubles until today. I have tried for an hour to revise a description of an item and it simply won't let me.

Any suggestions again? Thanks in advance.

We have found the secret, at least for us, is to enter whatever changes you want to make and then let it sit there for 5-10 minutes before you hit the key to put the change through. Have no idea why it works like that, it just does.

Good Luck!

I have found the same thing. I leave the page up, and go and do something else, and when I come back to it, it almost always works, found it out by accident!

Well, I can tell you, I read a similar thread here recently, and I too have NEVER been successful in revising an auction on eBay. SO, today, I got sick of the problem, downloaded the NETSCAPE BROWSER, and after setting it up, went in to revise an auction, and like magic, it went smooth, and immediately was revised - It was fantastic! I have fought with the revise system for years, and have almost never been able to revise - but via Netscape- zap and it was done.

Actually, my only problem was at the Netscape site I couldn't find the whole program, only the updates, so I went through:

http://www.tucows.com

and down loaded the Netscape browser there, free! It is fantastic how it works!

I will continue to use I.E. for most everything, but in working on eBay I can already see the difference, and the increased speed and lack of problems.

Download Opera from www.opera.com. Install it. Revise auctions on eBay. End of story.

Who the h#ll has the time to wait 5 or 20 minutes per auction? (Although I like the idea of spinning in my chair...)

If you need more specific information, e-mail me: [email protected]

This is becoming a daily thread!

Waiting is the answer.

I too have this problem forever. Now I always just wait. I do NOT wait 5-10 minutes. 2-3 does the trick. I start it do something else, go back, hit the button, etc.

Try it. Revise what you need, scroll to the bottom and WAIT 2-3 MINUTES click continue and WAIT 2-3 MINUTES then click submit.

This option works everytime for me.

THE secret:

1) Clear your "cache" first...
2) WAIT 2 minutes before pushing the button!

WORKS EVERYTIME for moi!

I have not been able to revise or relist through Ebay for at least a year. I find that doing those 2 tasks through the Opera browser works.

Here is another suggestion that works for me.
If you are trying to revise and you have a paypal logo in the html. Ebay rejects there java script. You need to just scroll down to the end and delete it all. Then go back in from paypal and add it.
This cured it for me. It is a hassle I know.

I downloaded Netscape like JWPC and it worked perfectly, even with paypal logos.

As all of you, was sick and tired of waiting on revisions and to be able to change my "Me Page", so finally gave in and downloaded Netscape. No more problems!

You would think as big and vast as eBay is that they could make the revisions work smoothly with Explorer!

Good Luck fellow eBay sellers!!!

I had a lot of problems revising too, So I downloaded Netscape because I was having other problems with Explorer and I have not had a problem since. They go through right away.

There are 3 proven methods to avoid the problems that occur when revising an auction on Ebay:

1- Download Opera
2- Download Netscape
3- Don't make any mistakes in the first place.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
