Three people I know personally have been ripped off by the same seller on eBay in the past 3 months. She has 200+ positive feedbacks, with about 15 negs and 6 neutrals, which are all for non-shipment or very late shipment. Most of the items she sells are under $15. Many of the items she sells are targeted toward a certain hobby. The seller's name is posted on several message boards realated to this hobby, with messages from dozens of people, stating that this same seller has done the same thing on other auction sites and through a website she used to have. From best we can piece together, about 70% of her customers receive their purchases, the rest don't. When they complain, she always says that the package was lost in the mail, and then blocks the buyer's e-mail addresses so they can't contact her further. Her contact info registered with eBay was false, both name and phone number. It has been reported to Safe Harbor, and the number was changed to another disconnected phone number. The name has not been changed. The false contact info was reported again, and the number was then changed to a cell phone that can never be reached. Non-performing seller notices have been filed with eBay. Fraud reports have been filed with eBay and Paypal. This person is still running 100+ auctions at any given time.
Does this mean as long as she sends out half of the items she sells, pays her eBay fees, and doesn't sell high ticket items, eBay doesn't care how many people she rips off?

piggypoosmom did you pay for insurance when the item was shipped? I know how upsetting this can be trust me. eBay uses the famous only a venue excuse everytime I had a problem. If the item wasnt insured then there is really nothing that can be done. If the item was insured then you can file a claim. Good luck!!
